People often ask me, 'why do you always talk about going to America?' 'Why do you like America so much?'
I never answer them properly, all I reply is "because I love that place"
However the truth might be different, who would like to live in a country where honor killing is encouraged by the majority of men? Who would live in a country where girls are not considered equal to boys? Who would live in a country where girls cannot live a life of freedom.
And who wouldn't want to go to a country where they can live the life they want to, where they can freely roam around, where they can live a life without boundaries and limits, where they can live a life without religious conservatives.
Yesterday, I watched a video on YouTube called, "10 worst countries to be born a women in"
Number 1 country was Pakistan, the country where I live. However, the truth is that Pakistan might be the worst country to be born a girl in, but it's a beautiful place, the problem is with the conservative people living in it. All those men who have power, misuse it. It's true, that only 42 percent of the women can read or write. Only 25% of women are in the work force. Married women are killed so that their husbands can marry someone else, if a woman wants to marry someone their family does not approve of, they could be killed!
Yes this is all true, the 58% of women who cannot read or write are poor or belong to highly conservative families. The rest who can read , mostly tend to live a better life, but again not so better.
Some can even read or write, but still belong to conservative families, thus they are only allowed to go to school and no where else.
I feel extremely sad when I see such videos, women shouldn't be treated like animals. Women are in fact the most beautiful creatures created by God.
